Students learning about various human parts in organ exhibition at GMCH

Engaging Nagpur students and informing them about human body parts, a three day exhibition on Human Body parts has been organised at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) by the students of second year of the college.

Photos by Chandrakant PaddhaneThe exhibition is mainly being held for students and to clear the doubts about the functions of human body but at the same time civilians can also visit this exhibition and enjoy a curious time. Medical students have been informing the visitors about several topics such as how the heart pumps and how the lungs functions.

Students of second year have organised this exhibition in association with Medical Students Council, where body parts like foot bone, spinal cord, intestines, heart, lungs, kidney, liver and several other body parts have been kept on display.On the first day the inauguration was done by the hands of Dr Sajal Mitra, the dean of GMCH. During inauguration Dr Dinkar Kumbhalkar, deputy superintendent and Dr Avinash Gawande, medical superintendent were present.More than 600 students had already visited the exhibition on the first day. February 27 will be the last day to pay visit to the organ exhibition. On February 27 session have been organised which will start at 9 am till 12 pm, next will be held at 12 pm to 3 pm and last session will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm.
