National Seminar on Working Women: Issues and Challenges

One Day National Seminar on Working Women: Issues and Challenges organized jointly in collaboration with five colleges namely Dr.M.K. Umathe Cllege,Nagpur, Dharampeth M.P. Deo Memorial Science College Nagpur, Bar. Seshrao Wankhede College of Arts and Commerce Khaperkheda, Principal Arunrao Kalode Mahavidhyalaya Nagpur and Dayanand Arya Kanya Mahavidhyalaya Jaripatka Nagpur recently at Auditorium Dharampeth M.P.Deo Memorial Science College Nagpur.

The Chief Guest of the inaugural function was Dr.  Narayan Mehere Regional Director of YCMOU Regional Center, Nagpur highlighted the importance in bringing gender equality, enhancing the social status of woman and achieving the social and economic growth of the country. The key-note Speaker was Dr.Rajashree V. Bathale , General Manager Outreach, NRSC, Hydrabad she highlighted the existing status of women and discussed the time management for working woman and she shared her experience of visiting Antarctica also showed that how she enjoyed Indian food.

Special Guest Hon.Smt. Mandatai Umathe, President of Satimata Sikshan Sansthan highlighted the existing Social Legislation, govt enhancements and policies, gaps in their implementation. Other special Guest SmtAruna Sabane, Social Activist, Writer address the delegates all issues pertaining to working women. Guest of Honor Dr.Asha Bhate Dharampeth Education Society highlighted the social and political dimensions of issue of woman empowerment in India.

Dr.Shraddha Naidu Principal of Dayanand Arya Kanya Mahavidhyalaya Nagpur also addressed the delegates and gave the message to all woman that love ourselves and always be positive in life. Technical Session was started immediately after the inaugural function was over The Resource person was Mrs.Aruna Sabane, Social Activist , Writer was said that status of woman in the rural and urban area as no much difference they both are facing lot of problems she advised that be careful when you are going out and followed the safety rules.

Dr.Urmila Dabir , Principal Rajkumar Kewalramani College chaired the session and also concluded with a poem on the working woman.

After the Lunch Valedictory Function, the guests were Dr.Danraj Shetee Principal Yashoda college and all convenors Dr Akhilesh Peshawe, Dr.Satpute, Dr.D.V.Naik Dr.Tale Dr.Shraddha Naidu ,Dr.Dabirwere on the dice Dr.Chetana Pathak Lecturer of Dayanand college concluded and gave the report of the conference some delegates also shared their experiences of conferences total of 103 delegates participated in the conference. The certificates were distributed at the end of the conference all convenors thanks to all who help them with the success of the conference.
