Mitigate the spread of COVID-19, two buses to bring suspected from Nagpur airport

Amid coronavirus outbreak, in order to check the increasing rate of the deadly virus at Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, two city buses have been provided for the coronavirus suspected patients. As per information, if a passenger is found to be a suspected patient, he/she will be brought to the MLA hostel while boarding in this bus. After the complete investigation, if required, the person will be sent to the government hospital or will be allowed to go home.

All domestic flights were operated except for a few flights on Monday. Taxis operated with the permission of the airport management to take passengers to their homes. Apart from this, relatives of the passengers used their private vehicles to take them from the airport. Here is the list of cancelled flights, AI 641 Delhi-Nagpur 6E774 Delhi – Nagpur G8-2519 Delhi-Nagpur G8-284 Pune-Nagpur AI 628 Nagpur Mumbai 6E 636 Nagpur-Delhi G8-2520 Nagpur-Delhi.

And in view of the complete cancellation on domestic flights, many travellers got the trip scheduled before Wednesday. For this, the airlines took differential amount of Rs.1500 per passenger. And government ordered commercial airlines to shut down domestic operations from Tuesday midnight to contain the coronavirus spread.
