Salaries of Govt officers including CM/ MLAs to be cut by 60%

After Maharashtra has reported the maximum number of COVID-19 positive cases in the country, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister of Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar, has issued orders that salaries of all elected representatives, including CM and all MLAs-MLCs, will be cut by 60 per cent for the month of March.

Government officers of A and B category will face 50 per cent salary cut. 25 per cent cut has been announced for C category. No cut for D category employees. This is a move to ease economic burden amid the lockdown after the coronavirus outbreak.
