How the media can play traumatic role and have a negative impact on a large scale circulating fake news has been proved yet again. Recently, news about a prominent family in the city has been widely circulated in the media claiming the whole family to be corona positive.
According to the reports, earlier published by some of the city daily, the Sabarwal family had thrown a party and had infected several other close relatives and friends. The news also circulated as one of the female family member, who is the only one to be found positive had travelled back to Nagpur from Canada via Delhi.
Talking to TLN, one of the relative who had been disgusted over such rumours informed the real deal, through which the family has been going through after the whole town talking false news about them.
“There was no travel history for over 8 months, besides the recent trip from Delhi to Nagpur, post which the family member self-isolated in their Nagpur home. A few days later, even with the slightest symptoms, family got her tested and has followed every rule for safety and recovery†informed the relative.
The family has offered Nagpur city the much needed delicious, high quality food that originates from their passion in hospitality, to love and with care for other people, the news on entire family being tested positive was printed before they could even get tested.
Highlighting the details TLN was told the other parts of the story, that the media had mentioned a party of 100 plus people which is also fake and that all the family members have tested negative and the one female with positive symptoms is on speedy recovery.
