Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Saturday met parents of Captain Deepak V Sathe, pilot of the Air India Express flight which was crashed on Friday at Kozhikode airport in Kerala.
Deshmukh visited his residence in Bharatnagar Nagpur today and consoled the Sathe family.
Captain Deepak Sathe and 17 others died in the accident. Deepak Sathe was an experienced pilot and was awarded the prestigious ‘Sword of Honor’ of the Air Force Academy and the ‘President’s Medal’. He is survived by his wife Sushma, sister Anjali Sathe-Parashar, son Dhananjay, Shantanu, Snusha Vaibhavi, and family members.
