Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) under Ministry of Petroleum and Natural gas, department has launched a new campaign since 1 August 2020 to facilitate its 7 crore subscribers in booking the cylinder by Mobile phone facility.The consumers can book the cylinder through their registered mobile number by contacting the Bharat Gas Company’s Whatsapp number 1800224344 .
Under the Ujjwala scheme, the needy customers have been provided free gas facility by the Bharat Gas Company and till now these residents of rural area have been booking in the Gas agency itself and unable to use WhatsApp and Android for phone booking. They can also avail this facility from home. They will only have to make a missed call to this company’s telephone number 7710955555 from their normal mobile phone and their booking will be done immediately. This process has to be done through registered number of Consumers with BPCL record. The booking facility is free.
Owing to Corona pandemic, BPCL has provided many medium of online payments to avoid cash transactions. The Whatsapp Booking number by BPCL will also offer facilities like contacting in case of emergency related to gas cylinders,  fluctuations in gas cylinder prices from month to month tracking the   delivery of cylinder, videos with information related to the safety of gas cylinder, and for registering complaints and feedback.
BPCL will be spreading this awareness about online booking and digital payment till 30 August 2020, states a press release issued by Teritorial Manager, BPCL, Nagpur.
