After detecting more than 2K COVID-19 positive cases on Tuesday, Nagpur on Wednesday reported the highest single-day deaths so far as it reported 59 patients succumbing to the infection. A total of 1319 coronavirus positive cases were reported in the day. With this, the cumulative number of positive cases reached 44556.
After today’s death count, the fatality toll has surged to 1458. From the total deaths 1120 deaths from the city and 207 from rural and rest 13 from out of Nagpur, an official release said.
The total active cases are 11532 including 7045 asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
According to the latest update, 11,50 persons became free of the virus borne disease taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 31566 (including home isolation recovery 17405).
The recovery rate in Nagpur district is 70.84%.
Today’s 1319 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
AIIMS (37), GMC (166), IGGMC (113), MAFSU (1), NEERI (19), Private Lab (548) and Antigen (435).
Today’s 59 fatality cases belonged to:
Rural (11), City (43), and out of the city (5).
