COVID-19: Citizens prefer to quarantine in hotels to keep family safe

The increasing cases of COVID-19 positive cases and the shortage of beds are really a concern for authorities and amid this serious condition, the patients have opted for quarantine themselves at hotels to get all the comforts of home.Besides, they also get regular visits by doctors and nurses to take care of their ailments. Thus the hotels which were the worst affected by the continuous lockdown have tied up with private hospitals to provide accommodation to the patients and also make financial progress in this progress. As per information, patients with less symptoms of corona appear to prefer hotels according to their financial capacity. Earlier, hotels were only provided isolation. But now the civic administration has permitted many hotels to accommodate corona patients as hospital beds are not available.

However, many hotels have refused permission for future security reasons. Some hotels allow only mild corona patients to stay with staff approval. As per information, under the tie-ups, some hotels in Nagpur are charging patients Rs.3000 to Rs.5000 per day for accommodation. It includes all the amenities. Besides, the cost of doctor’s treatment has to be paid separately. On the other hand, if a patient with fewer symptoms stays in the hospital, it costs them at least Rs.25000 to Rs.30000 per day. Hence the cost of the entire package comes to Rs.5000 to Rs.6000 per patient which is quite cheaper.
