NEERI to conduct study on noise pollution in city

As we know the noise pollution is in the complete sense is creating problems for the citizens. And the team of National Environmental Research Institute (NEERI) has commenced work on noise pollution in different areas of Nagpur. However, the air quality and noise pollution of Nagpur was best during lockdown. After the relaxations in lockdown the vehicles have started plying on roads and industries have also started functioning. In regard of this, survey work has been taken up.

The noise pollution level during Diwali festival in last October was recorded between 80.8 decibels to 81 decibels. Around 20 percent asthma patients were found during this period. Earlier, the noise level in Nagpur was more than Delhi during Diwali festival. At present it seems noise level is slow and now it will have to be seen up to how long it will continue. And NEERI was prepared a noise tracker app for registering noise pollution in their areas through this app. They were also able to gather information about noise pollution in other areas also. As per information, the NEERI will conduct study in all aspects of noise pollution and submit report in this matter.
