Nagpur Municipal Corporation & Orange City Water (OCW) have planned a 12-hours shutdown on December 10, 2020 (Thursday) for interconnection of a newly laid 500 mm dia pipeline at Futala area. Thustblock casting on both end of newly laid 500 mm dia pipeline at futala is completed and Now NMC-OCW team is ready for final interconnection work on Dec 10, 2020.
A leakage was developed under retaining wall at futala
which needed to be plugged urgently. So to plug the
leakage NMC-OCW laid a bypass line and which will be
interconnected during shutdown from 10 AM to 10
PM. During this work Evening supply (from 5 pm to 10
pm) depend on Futala supply line will be affected.
Areas affected on Dec 10 following interconnection:
Entire Sanjay Nagar, Trust Layout, Pankaj Nagar, Raju
Nagar, Sudam Nagari, Upper portion of Pandhrabodi
etc will be affected.
NMC-OCW appealed citizens to co-operate and store sufficient water for use.
Meanwhile, Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Orange City Water, following its commitment of
providing clean & safe water to every household has started its yearly ESR Cleaning drive.
Under this drive NMC-OCW has planned to clean Hanuman Nagar ( Budhwar Bazar) ESR under
Dhantoli zone December 9 (Wednesday).
All ESR’s will be cleaned from 10 am to 6 pm. Owing to the these ESR cleaning/shutdown, water supply to many areas that gets supply from these ESRs will remain affected .
NMC-OCW has appealed citizens to store sufficient water for their use as tanker supply will also not be
possible & co-operate.
Areas to remain affected following HANUMAN NAGAR ESR Shutdown on Dec 9 (Wednesday ) are : Hanuman Nagar , Professor colony ,Chandan Nagar , PTS Quartar, Vakilpeth , Mahesh colony, Somwari qtr, Siraspeth, Saraipeth, Reshimbagh.
