Pune’s Jadhav elected president, Amravati’s Thakur vice-president of Maharashtra Amateur Athletics Association

Pune’s Jadhav elected president, Amravati’s Thakur vice-president of Maharashtra Amateur Athletics Association

Umesh Ravindra Jadhav of Pune district and SL Patil of Sangli district were elected unopposed as president and secretary respectively of the Maharashtra Amateur Athletics Association (MAAA) for the four-year term. The AGM and elections were held in Pune early this month.

The remaining post and entire committee members were also elected unopposed. The elected committee will serve from 2020 to 2024.

Uttamchand Thakur (Amravati), Ramesh Jadhav (Nashik), Sunil Dhande (Nashik) and Jeevan Misihkin (Yavatmal) were elected ast the four vice-presidents, while Yetela Bhagat (Sholapur) will serve as the treasurer.

Prasad Pathak (Greater Mumbai), Atul Patil (Amravati) and Subhash Gawande (Washim) will assist Patil as the three joint secretaries.

The elected members

President: Umesh Ravindranath Jadhav (Pune).

Vice-Presidents: Uttamchand Thakur (Amravati), Ramesh Jadhav (Nashik), Sunil Dhande (Nashik), Jeevan Misihkin (Yavatmal).

Secretary: SL Patil (Sangli).

Joint secretaries: Prasad Pathak (Greater Mumbai), Atul Patil (Amravati), Subhash Gawande (Washim).

Treasurer: Yetela Bhagat (Sholapur).

Committee members: Dr Moinuddin Farooqui (Aurangabad), Raju John (Yavatmal), Dilip Chinchkar (Satara), Rajendra Salve (Nashik), Hemant Bhadane (Dhule), Pramod Kharat (Jalna), Sachin Swami (Sangli), Rohit Ghag (Pune), Ashok Ingle (Buldhana), Rajaram Dhinde (Aurangabad).
