This year churches in city has decided to go beyond the guidelines given by the Government and issue further restrictions during Christmas.
To name a few there will be no midnight mass, worship, house to house carol singing, no community meets this year. Church officials of every church will make sure that Christmas is celebrated safely.
Rev Ramakrishnan of Methodist Church said, “We have cancelled the customary and midnight worship or mass gathering on Christmas eve has been put on hold. We have decided to allow only 40 percent of the total seating capacity”.
Pastor John George of All Saints Cathedral said, “On Christmas day, we will have the English language service at 8 am and the Hindi language service at 11 am. All the other events have been put on hold as of this moment”.
Catholic church has decided to cancel the midnight mass and decided to allow only 200 members inside on Christmas Day.
Simon Khariyar of Calvary Gospel Church said, “All the events which use to happen every year will also happen this year but no one will be present physically but via Facebook”.
