Drastic drop in number of people violating night curfew in city

Since Maharashtra Government has ordered for night curfew only 20 people have been fined in the last 48 hours. On the first day, 17 people were fined for violating the night curfew and roaming around in the city unnecessarily after 11 pm and yesterday the number dropped significantly to just 2-3 more people were fined for the same offence.

While speaking to a few policemen they said, “We are very happy to tell that the citizens of Nagpur are very much abiding by the rules laid down by the Government. They are following the rules and regulations. You can see that as compared to the first day there is more drop in the number of people violating the night curfew on the second day.”

The officials admitted that they have a tough time lying ahead of them as the festival season, Christmas, and the New Year is just around the corner. During the festivals, people meet for parties and functions and to stop them or to make sure that all their parties and celebrations end early and people reach their homes before 11 pm will be a very difficult task.

The policemen while speaking to The Live Nagpur said, “We urge the people of Nagpur to please follow the night curfew imposed by the State Government, make sure that their celebrations of Christmas and New Year are over early and they reach their homes before 11 pm. Citizens should not panic because of this new virus strain, stay away from any kind of fake news, and maintain social distancing at public places.
