RTMNU to organize XXI National Seminar on Ferroelectrics and Dielectrics on Jan 10

Internal quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Department of Physics, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur are jointly organizing XXI National Seminar on Ferroelectrics and Dielectrics (NSFD-2021) in association with Taylor and Francis publishing group, USA. The event is collaborated by Dharampeth M. P. Deo Memorial Science College, Nagpur.

The seminar aims to discuss state-of-art of Ferroelectrics research in India, impact of ferroelectrics on society and define future strategy of ferroelectrics and allied field of research and applications in advanced technology. Ferroelectric and dielectrics class of materials also referred to as polar materials, include Piezo, pyro, and ferroelectrics materials, play key role in data storage, energy harvesters, and wireless communications. This symposium will address developments in materials for a wide range of related technologies.

World-known Eminent scientist in the field Prof R. Ramesh, Professor, Berkeley Research University of California, USA, Prof Susan Trolier-McKinstry, Director of the Nanofabrication facility at the Pennsylvania State University, USA, Prof Ram Katiyar, University of Puerto, Rico of Puerto, Dr Santiranjan Shannigrahi, NUS, Singapore, Dr S M Yusuf, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai, etc are key-speaker of the seminar. The scientific sessions is accompanied by Tutorials and technical sessions.

The Convener of the seminar, Dr. Smita Acharya, Director, IQAC, RTMNU and Professor, Department of Physics RTM Nagpur University informed that this symposium will address developments in the core field of ferroelectric and dielectrics materials for a wide range of technologies. The seminar is beneficial for all the graduate, postgraduate, PhD scholars and young scientist working in field of Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, and Biotechnology etc. The Opening Ceremony to this seminar is scheduled at 9.30 am on January 10 at Department of Physics, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University Nagpur.

The Key-note address of the seminar is delivered by Prof R. Ramesh, Professor of Physics and Materials Science and Engineering, Berkeley Research University of California, USA on advanced topic, “Observation of room temperature polar skyrmions”

Vice Chancellor, Dr Subhash Choudhary, RTMNU, Dr Sanjay Dhude, Pro-Vice-chancellor, RTMNU and Dr Neeraj Khaty, Registrar (officiating) RTMNU and Dr Akhilesh Peshwe, Principal, Dharampeth M P Deo memorial science college, Nagpur are patrons of the seminar and provide all type of support to organize this academic event.
