NVCC delegation meets Balbir Singh, PC CGST  discussed issues

A delegation of Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC), a leading traders organization having 13 lakh membership, under the leadership of Ashwin Mehadia, President meet Balbir Singhji, Principal Commissioner, CGST, Nagpur Zone-I, and discussed issues . A memorandum was also given on the occasion. Also present was  R.S.  Maheshwari, (Commissioner, CGST, Nagpur zone 2.

President  Ashwin Mehadia, honored Balveer Singji and R.S. Maheshwari with a scarf and the Chamber’s souvenir  ‘Amrit Pushp’.  Ashwin Mehadia also presented a memorandum stating that Government has introduced GST for “One Country – One Tax”. The tax has implemented GST,  due to the inclusion of various taxes under indirect taxes, “one Country – one tax” was not possible. Mehadia also brought into notice the problems faced while filing GST. He requested that filing returns must be made easy on a quarterly basis. Sanjay Agrawal, Vice-President requested that the Department must not cancelled GST registration of trader if he commits any mistake.

Farque Akbani, Vice-President requested for extension of the date of filing of return of GST for 2018-19 and 2019-20, looking at the pandemic situations. C A Ritesh Metha, Convenor of  NVCC subcommittee for indirect-Taxes also pointed out difficulties faced while filing returns, especially in 86A and 86B. He also requests not to block e-way bill of traders finding difficulty in filing GST.

Singh assured the delegation to take up the issues with higher authorities and request them for relaxation in provisions. Also present were Arjundas Ahuja and Umesh Patel.
