Administration should not stop work proposal approved by Standing Committee: Zalke

Proposal’s of work approved by the house on December 12, 2020 are still pending, said Pintu (Vijay) Zalke, Chairman of NMC Standing Committee, while talking to the Media on Monday. He alleged that only 5 heads were sanctioned for work, but work proposal sanctioned by the Standing Committee, were also held up and delayed, Zalke further alleged that sanction work of June 20, 2020 in the house, was not completed which includes street lingh.

“All the sanction work  in the house was send to the State Government. State Government directed to solve the issue’s on local level itself, but the Commissioner is adamant in doing so.

Even the Commissioner is not following the 451 MMC Act,” Zalke said. Zalke added that the proposal of 14000 LAD street light of January 27, 2020, proposal of saver line and many other of public interest were done in last one year.

“The development fund of corporators was brought done to 50 per cent but still the work proposed by them were not done,” Zalke said. He informed that the work sanction in several heads were Public Interest work Rs 101.6 crore, Property Rs 355 crore, Special Interest Rs 27.54 crore, Government Grant Rs 1398.78 total of Rs 2376.02 crore.

Surprisingly  the NMC Commissioner as approved the proposal no 784 of December 19 to continue the computer operators presently working on contract basis with lumpsum salary of Rs 15000 only from the agency only.

NMC  have under its various section total 186 computer operators, and according to the proposal approved by the NMC Commissioner  per month 15,500 will be paid to the computers operators, NMC will save Rs 253 crore by cutting the salary of 186 computer operators, who are working from many years.
