Despite imposition of restrictions on movement of people, closure of markets, shops and establishments, private offices, restaurants etc for the last three days, the number of Corona positive cases has continued to rise. On Tuesday reported 2587 positive cases with 18 deaths in the day. The total number of cases has reached 175386 so far. The tally of deaths due to the virus-borne disease reached to 4489.
The consistent rise in COVID 19 positive figures is an indication that the virus is spreading with a faster pace. Secondly, people are blatantly violating the rules made to control the spread. Even when more number of vaccination centers been opened, tests have increased, the number of positive cases is also going up during the last one month. It has gained pace in the last few days with addition of over 200 persons every day.
As per the official report, out of the total positive cases, 664 were from rural areas and 1921 cases from Nagpur city alone.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases in the city now stands at 18980 including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
With 1095 recoveries in the day, the cumulative number of recovered cases rose to 151917 (including 80241 home isolation recoveries). The recovery rate recorded today was 86.62 percent.
