Corona has given a great blow to the music world, and especially to Nagpur city by taking away Sitar maestro Ustad Nasir Khan. Noted grade ‘A’ AIR Nagpur, and renowned Sitar player Nasir Khan passed away on Tuesday due to COVID-19. Nasir is survived by his wife and two children, who also tested positive.
Nasir was a wonderful human being and musician par excellence. Music lovers are shocked with the news. Nasir’s father Ustad Hamid Kha was also a great sarangi player and was also known for his shows on Durdarshan and Radio.
Artist including playback singer M A Kader to stage arranger Bagwati Tiwari, Ravindra Sangit singer Arundhati Deshmukh and many more has expressed deep condolence on the loss of Ustad Nasir Khan.
