The Juniors (K- 5) of Delhi Public School Lava celebrated their Annual Sports day on Saturday, March 20, 2021. The excitement, the fun, the sweat, and the glory…..all the elements were there…the only difference was that this edition of PRATISVARABHASAHA was virtual. The Physical education teachers of the school, have in this past year ensured through the online classes that the students stay fit….Yoga, Zumba, Fitness workouts, Aerobics, Strength Training, Reflexions, Eye-Hand Coordination, all are being done in the sports periods and the Fitness Club meetings.
Pratisvarabhasah was the culmination of all these activities and the time to showcase newly acquired skills. The three best entries from each of the three fitness challenges were presented. These students were felicitated with e certificates. These challenges were given to the students by three upcoming sports personalities of Nagpur, our eminent guests, three youth icons…..Cricketer Akshay Wadkar, Footballer Bhuvan Jerpoth, and Swimmer Himani Fadke. The meet was declared open by Pro V-C Sir, Gautam Rajgarhia.
Anupuma Sagdeo, the Principal, addressed the students and their parents. Denisha Agrawal of KG II performed Bharatnatyam on Ganesh Vandana. Students of the Pre Primary Wing enthralled everyone with an Aerobics routine. Grades I and II presented a Ball Drill; flexibility and agility were the hallmarks of the Live Yoga asanas presented by students of Grades III, IV and V. The zest of the Zumba presented by grade IV and V was infectious. Sara Hussain and Garvit Kesharwani of Grade IV anchored the entire event with aplomb.
