With 5131 fresh COVID-19 cases on Saturday, Nagpur district again has a record number of positive cases due to the dreaded virus. Meanwhile, 65 people succumbed to the infection in the day taking the cumulative death count to 5706.
Of the 65 deaths, 33 were the residents of Nagpur district while Nagpur rural reported 26 deaths. New cases of coronavirus also have become a cause of worry as over 5,000 people are daily testing positive for COVID-19. Today addition of new cases took the tally to 271355.
Today, Nagpur rural registered 1680 new cases, while in city 3445 persons tested positive for coronavirus.
Today, 2837 persons became corona-free in Nagpur district taking the cumulative recovery to 214073. The recovery is less as compared to new positive cases resulting rise in active cases. Today’s recovery rate stands at 78.89%. The total count of active cases now stands at 51576.
