India records more than 3.45 lakh new cases, 2624 death in last 24 hr

With unprecedented spread of the deadly virus India made a new record for the fourth time in a row by registering 3,46,786 new cases in the last 24 hours. India again broke its one record on April 24 to become the only country to record a spurt in daily COVID-19 cases in the world adding woe to the problems.

In another grim record, 2,624 Covid deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours taking the toll to 1,89,544 making it the worst man-made disaster of the 21st century. Ten States account for 82.28% of the new deaths. Twelve states are displaying an upward trajectory in daily new cases.

10 States Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, delhi, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh account for 74.15% of the new cases registered.

Within all this 2,19,838 recovered cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

India’s total Active Caseload reached 25,52,940 today; comprises 15.37% of the total Positive Cases. A net incline of 1,24,324 cases recorded from the total active caseload the last 24 hours.

11 States/UTs Ladakh, D&D & D&N, Tripura, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Lakshadweep, Sikkim, Manipur, Nagaland, A&N Islandsand Arunachal Pradesh report No death in the last 24 hours.

India’s Cumulative Vaccination Coverage exceeds 13.83 Crores. More than 29 Lakh Vaccine Doses administered in the last 24 hours. India’s Cumulative Vaccination Coverage exceeds 13.83 Cr (13,83,79,832).
