After former mayor’s initiative, Covid patients’s hospital bill of Rs.5.30 Lakh reduced to 2.50 Lakh

As we know the government has given strict directions to avoid the cheating of corona patients. Despite this, it has come to light that some private hospitals are charging heavy bills and cheating patients. After former mayor Sandip Joshi came to know about it, he appealed to the people to lodge complaints. After his follow-up the original bill of Rs.5.30 lakh of one patient has been reduced to Rs.2.50 lakh.

On Thursday many people filed complaint against increased bills. As per information, Krutika Somesh Diyani was admitted to aprivate hospital for four days. The hospital charged Rs.5.30 lakh as four-day bill. On receiving the complaint former mayor verified and understand that the patient was cheated and contacted the hospital authorities. They admitted their mistake. Even after the government’s clear directions, the private hospitals don’t follow the 80:20 ratio of reservation. They also appointed auditors to each hospital to audit the bills, however, nobody is bothered about it and charge extra bill from patients.
