Overwhelming response to ‘Vaccination in your Locality’

Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Monday launched a vaccination drive in various locality of the city. The vaccination drive received an overwhelming response from senior citizens on the first day.

Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari, visited some of the centers. He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made at the centers.

In the NMC’s vaccination drive, first and second dose is given to citizens above 45 years of age. The vaccination drive is being carried at all centers of NMC.

Mayor on May 24 visited Sindhi Colony center, Ashok Nagar, Shree Badi Marwari Maheshwari Panchayat Bhavan and other places. Also present with him was Duneshwar Pethe, Leader of NCP in NMC,  Mahesh Kukdeja.

People were getting vaccinated along with their family members at the new centers. People appreciated NMCs move for making arrangement of vaccination in thier locality.

They thanked Mayor Tiwari and Radhakrishnan B, NMC Commissioner for this gesture.

In South Nagpur also vaccination drive was carried in new localities as well. At Sonzari Nagar, Prabhag no 28, vaccination drive was conducted at Shitla Mata Mandir Hall.

People from Sonzari Nagar, Tukobagram, Solanki Wadi and other adjoining places took the benefit of vaccination. Rita Muley, former Zone Chairman and Corporator, Rajesh Futane, Ashok Patre, Ramesh Behere and members of the Sonzari Shitla Mata Devasthan Panch Committee worked hard for the success of the event. The drive will continue on Tuesday as well between 9.30am to 5 pm.
