The Nuisance Detection Squad (NDS) of NMC continued with crackdown on violators of curbs. And on Tuesday, it took action against 26 establishments and recovered a fine of Rs 1.70 lakh. To ensure that chain of novel coronavirus is broken, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has imposed strict curbs and there is ban on trading activity of non-essential items till May 31. Even for essential service the timing is restricted to morning session. However; many establishments continue to break the norms.
Despite the ban, many trades are flouting the order of civic body and this in turn results in crowding on part of buyers and hampers the efforts to break the chain. Hence, NDS team is continuously on patrol and taking action against defaulters. During a routine patrol, Nuisance Detection Squad team noticed that Tejaswi Marble and Hardware shop at Abhay Nagar, Omkar Nagar, under Hanuman Nagar Zone, was carrying with trading activity. As such the shop was sealed with orders of Assistant Commissioner Kiran Bagde. Action was also taken against Venus Light House, Gandhi Gate, Mahal, under Gandhibagh Zone. Similarly, Surya Saoji Restaurant, Jai Bhole Restaurant, Sandeep Restaurant, Shri Krishna Saoji Restaurant, Moreshwar Restaurant, Shivaji Restaurant and Jai Bhavani Restaurant at Kalmana Market under Lakdaganj Zone were also sealed.
