Deaths due to COVID-19 remained constant at 16 in Nagpur district on Thursday as well but the new
cases have gone up slightly. The 16 deaths in the day included 8 people from the city while 4 were of the rural areas.This has taken the death count to 8854.
In the day, 476 persons tested positive for the coronavirus out of which 264 were the residents of the city and 208 belonged to the rural area.
Number of persons becoming free from coronavirus in the day were 1151 taking the cumulative of recoveries to 455246.
More number of recoveries as compared to daily positive cases further reduced the figure of active cases in the district to 9072. The recovery rate has reached 96.21%.
After today update, the cumulative of positive cases so far has reached to 473172 and the toll of deaths has rose to 8854.
No doubt, the constant improvement in daily covid report can be considered as a huge relief. But the tension still remains as new variants of coronavirus continues to spread across the country.
