Nagpur: With slight increase in fresh novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), District Administration on Saturday witnessed 4 deaths almost after week of reporting zero fatality cases.
It us worth mentioning herr that the district is already facing level 3 restrictions as a precautionary measure in the wake of Delta Plus varian of COVID.
A total 42 people tested positive on Saturday, of which 28 patients were from the city and 12 from rural areas. From the deaths today, the city witnessed 2 deaths while two cases were from out of the district.
In the day, a total 84 people successfully recovered from the virus borne disease, taking the numbers of cumulative recovered to 467969. Following which recovery rate has improved to 98.06%.
With the latest update, the total number of cases has surged to 4,77,176 while the number of deaths stand still at 9,029.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases in the city now stand at 178 including asymptomatic cases.
It is pertinent to mention that the District Collector Ravindra Thackeray has extended the further tightening the restrictions to break the chain of transmission of the COVID 19 virus and tackle the threat of the Delta Plus Variant in the state. The new restrictions will be remain enforce from July 5 to July 12.
