With COVID-19, the Nagpur region also witnessing a gradual rise in dengue cases. On July 27, 20 new patients were tested positive with dengue in Nagpur rural region. With this the total progressive count of Dengue cases in the Nagpur region comprising 13 blocks the cumulative positive reach 212 till date.
According to the data provided the 13 blocks in Nagpur rural comprised of Bhiwapur, Hingna, Kalmeshwar, Kamptee, Katol, Kuhi, Mouda, Nagpur, Narkhed, Parsioni, Ramtek, Saoner, Umred.
As Covid-19 and Mucormycosis cases in the Nagpur region are decreasing another major problem awaits in front of the civic administration and health workers.
To date, 3 people have reportedly lost their lives due to dengue in the region. Among the total death, one is from Nagpur while two are from Umred.
Among the 13 blocks, Nagpur the cumulative dengue positive reaches 35 to date while four new patients were tested positive with dengue on July 27. Followed by Umred which had 34 patients to date. However, all the tested patients have been cured and have been sent home.
With 47 total patients, Kuhi has the highest number of dengue patients detected in the area to date. The Good news is that all the patients have been cured and no death was recorded to date in the region.
According to the data provided all the 212 patients have been cured.
