Door-to-Door vaccination campaign to begin from today

Dr Nitin Raut, Energy Minister, has arranged 200 vehicles for the door-to-door vaccination campaign which is all set to begin in Vidarbha Region as a prevention against COVID-19. The vehicles will be flagged off in a ceremony today at Mankapur sports stadium at 11 am.

The vehicles will carry the vaccines in every nook and corner of the region which especially aims to administer vaccines to bed ridden people. The vehicles will be attached to Primary Health Centers (PHCs) to reach every house.

The vehicles are arranged by Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL).

MAHATRANSCO along with Vidarbha Sahayta Society (VSS) will undertake Mission Vaccination in 11 districts of region and former has allocated Rs. 25 crores for the same.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will join the programme through video link while Balasaheb Thorat, Revenue Minister, will be present at the venue.

Along with Dr Raut, other Maharashtra Ministers including Eknath Shinde, Sunil Kedar, Vijay Waddettiwar, Yeshomati Thakur, Omprakash alias Bacchu Kadu, Dr Rajendra Shingne, Vishwajit Kadam, Shambhuraje Desai, Prajakta Tanpure, along with Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis would be present on the occasion.

It is worth mentioning here that so far about 94,14,820 people in Vidarbha have been inoculated in which first dose beneficiaries number is 72,81,665 while 24,53,440 people have received both first and second dose.
