Students of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) Primary School at Ekatmata Nagar, Jaytala, staged a protest outside the office of the NMC Commissioner on Monday, demanding the immediate appointment of teachers in their school.
The students, accompanied by local residents and supporters, raised slogans highlighting the acute shortage of teaching staff, which they said has severely affected their education. Protesters urged the civic administration to fill the vacant teaching posts without delay.
Nagpur City District Congress President Praful Gudadhe and Corporator Adv. Shailendra Dorle joined the agitation and extended their support to the students. They criticized the civic administration for failing to ensure adequate teachers in municipal schools and demanded immediate action to safeguard the students’ right to quality education.
The protest continued outside the Commissioner’s office as demonstrators awaited a response from the civic authorities regarding their demands.
