With the changing times, the officials should use modern technology for expediting administrative work and bringing transperancy, instructed Dayashankar Tiwari, Mayor.
Tiwari was addressing a meeting held in Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh hall of the corporation in which Girish Vyas, MLC, Radhakrishanan B, Municipal Commissioner, Ram Joshi, Addl Commissioner, Nirbhay Jain, Deputy MplCommissioner, Dr Ranjana Lade, Municipal Secretary, Dr Sanjay Chilkar, Medical Officer, Ganesh Rathod, Prakash Warade, Harish Raut, Ashok Patil, Vijay Humne, Ghanashyam Pandhre, Dy Mpl Commisioners, Kiran Bagde, Sushama Mandge, Sadhana Patil, Asstt Mpl Commssioners , and heads of departments were present in the meeting about implementing Rajiv GandhiPrashashkiya Gaitmanta Abhiyaan/Spardha.
As a Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had made efforts for changing the mentality while doing works and also promoted computerisation in administrative management. NMC is such an organisation that is directly linked with citizens and hence there is a need to bring speed and trasnperancy in the works. The work of sorting out complaints is being done through Website, Hello Nagpur, Nagpur Live City App but still there is a need to expedite the work by adopting technology, Tiwari pointed out.
In his address, Radhakrishnan B said that the campaign would help expedite the official works. He asked employees to work hard for effectively solving various grievances of the citizens.
The period of the campaign is from August 20 to October 2.
