Nagpur. Smart Cities Mission (SCM) under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has planned numerous events across 100 Smart Cities from 27 September 2021 to 3 October 2021 as part of the celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) to commemorate the 75th year of India’s Independence. This event was focused on the readiness of the cities to mitigate the nine challenges in urban India through technological interventions.

To celebrate AKAM, Out of 9 given themes, Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDCL) had chosen “Freedom from Traffic†and “Freedom from Crime†themes and hosted an event in its Shraddeya Atal Bihari Vajpayee Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC), Nagpur between 1st to 3rd October 2021 showcasing the successful technological ICT interventions to the citizens focusing on how cities are achieving technology-enabled freedom.
