Under the able guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Smt. Richa Khare and the sincere efforts of Team BDU (Business development unit) led by Nagpur Division was able to send the 2 Rail Milk Tankers for the first time in a single day.Â
Milk traffic was captured for the first time by Nagpur Division which was attached to Doodh Express from 04.05.2021.
Nagpur Division has loaded 102th and 103th Rail Milk tankers attached by 00761 Renigunta-Nizamuddin Doodh special which will depart from Nagpur at 00.55 hrs. on 4.11.2021 and will reach Hazrat Nizamuddin (Delhi) at 18.15 on the same day.
These Railway Milk tankers with 45,000 liters each (Total 90,000 liters) have been booked and loaded by Mother Dairy and Railway has collected the freight of Rs.
2,16, 670/- (Two Lakh Sixteen thousand six hundred seventy)from these RMT.
Total Freight earnings of Rs. 1.07 Crore has been generated till date by Nagpur Division.
Considering the potential available for milk traffic in the Delhi area, Mother Dairy has assured to increase milk loading from Nagpur to Hazrat Nizamuddin (Delhi) by rail.
The Co-ordinated marketing efforts led by Sr. Divisional Operations Manager Shri Ashutosh Shrivastav and Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager Shri Krishnath Patil have helped to attract many new customers thus enhancing the Railway revenue.
