India beat Sri Lanka in U-19 Asia Cup by 9 wickets

India won the Under-19 Asia Cup 2021 for the eighth time after beating Sri Lanka by nine wickets at the Dubai International Stadium.

Opting to bat, Sri Lanka could only manage 106 for 9 in the revised quota of 38 overs as rain disrupted the match in midway.

Raghuvanshi’s half-century helped India clinch their eighth U19 Asia Cup title at the Dubai International Stadium.

The overs were reduced to 38 overs after a two-hour of rain. With this win India has now won it eight times, which includes a shared trophy in 2012. The team also owns the record of having never lost a final.

Ravi Kumar, Rajvardhan Hangargekar and Raj Bawa picked a wicket each. Kaushal Tambe picked two wickets in his first three overs of the day.

Vicky Ostwal took three wickets including two in a single over. The unbeaten Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s 56 runs inning led India seal a win in the match.
