FIRST TIME HIGHEST EVER FREIGHT LOADING OF 32.56 MILLION TONNES FROM APRIL TO DECEMBER
Highest Ever Ticket Checking Revenue of Rs 24.65Crore from April to December whereas the previous Best ever was Rs. 16.69 Cr. in FY 2019-20 for the corresponding period.
Nagpur Division has taken several initiatives and executed various measures for making the journey of its customers and passengers comfortable.
The focus this year was more on improving the infrastructure works in general and fighting against Covid-19 & enhancing the passenger amenities in particular.Â
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the services resumed gradually and long-distance trains have been restored almost to the pre-covid level.Â
Some of the highlights of Nagpur Division during the year 2021 are:
FREIGHT PERFORMANCE
• Nagpur Division Central Railway is in all likelihood has achieved best ever loading for any month in December 2021. So far, 4.5 Million tonnes have been loaded monthly.
• Best ever freight earnings of Rs. 450.20 Crore in December -21. Previous best was Rs. 405.78 cr. in Nov-2021.• Nagpur Division is among top 10 loading divisions of Indian Railways Current at position -7 • Commissioning of M/s Adani logistic Ltd. PFT Borkhedi for the improvement of freight loading of division.• Nayara Energy Ltd.:- Engineering work of Engine on load one line completed on 07.12.2021 for easy dispatch and removal of engines.
Infrastructural Development
Opening of 4th line between Sindi- Buttibori of 19.322 Kms on 27.12.2020 with speed of 100 KMPH
Opening of 3rd line between Chichonda-Teegaon of 16.53 Kms on 28.12.2020 with speed of 65 UP/75 DN KMPH
Withdrawal of all Caution Orders at Diamond Crossing, Nagpur to the trains passing from Nagpur to SEC Rly.and vice versa
Teegoan station has been commissioned with Electrical interlocking in connection with 3rd line and conversion of UP loop into common loop line on 22.12.2020.
Commissioned Godhani chord cabin in connection with double line towards Kalamna (South Eastern Central Railway)
Installation of Passenger lifts-in year 21-22; 02 No. Lifts installed at Wardha Station. Till date 16 No. of Lifts has been installed. (Sewagram-3, Wardha–6, Dhamangaon-2, Betul-2, Pandhurna-2, Ajni-1).
Provision of High Level Platform at Multai Station.
Installation of Escalators-in year 21-22; 02 Escalators commissioned at Ajni-2 No. till date 08. Escalators commissioned in Nagpur Division (Nagpur-06 and Ajni-02)
Oxygen Generation Plant commissioned and working properly at DRH/Nagpur. (Capacity 500 Liters per minutes)
Electric loco Shed has commissioned 06 new locomotives received ex CLW and BLW since April-2021. Electric loco Shed has commissioned Hotel load converters in 50 new WAP-7 locomotives received ex CLW, DMW and DLW
Old panel interlocking replaced with New Electronic interlocking system at Dahegaon, Wogholi, Majri and Borkhedi station.
Provision of Chord line at Narkhede Station.
New wheel lathe machine commissioning at Ajni C&W ROH depot.
NFR Activities
First Division of Indian Railways• First over IR contract with BYJUs for setting up promotional kiosk at Nagpur and Wardha stations- A contract awarded to M/S Think & Learn Pvt. Ltd ( BYJUs Online Education Platform) for setting up 2 Kiosks at Nagpur and 1 Kiosk at Wardha for promotion and lead generation to the licensee for one year shall augment Rs. 8,20,000/- per annum.
First Division of Central Railway• Fruit Juice cum Photocopier centre at Divisional Railway Hospital Nagpur provided as on impotent staff amenity.• E-Wheelchair Contract at Ajni & Nagpur stations – shall ensure a value added Minimum Essential Amenity with Airport like service, for senior citizen Divyangjan. This innovative contract shall also augment.• Patronised innovative NINFRIS Contracts: The Division successfully implemented, marketed and awarded six patronised NINFRIS contract through open tender basis as a continued source of NFR. These Six contracts (Viz. Staff Canteen at NGP Parcel, Dhamangaon Goods shed, Betul Good shed, 3D LED Globe, Photocopier Centre at NagpurParcel & Bike packing at Nagpur parcel) • RDN Video Wall Contract: – The RDN Video wall contract at NGP for display of Rly Information & Commercial Publicity implemented with 50:50 time sharing basis.• Train Side Vending Contract for Non Catering essential item Vending: The path breaking contract for vending Non catering essential goods On- Board to Railway passengers for 06 am to 9pm as a value added passenger amenity.• Amla Rly Station Uni-Branding Contract with Dabur India Ltd: The first over IR innovative contract for uni-branding the NSG-5 Amla Rly station through Toilet Block wall painting, artificial tree branding and passenger amenity boards branding.
