A 500 mm dia Futala Feeder line that supplies water to entire Futala area and Amravati Road areas was once again damaged by MahaMetro vendor on the morning of January 8.
Following the damage Nagpur Municipal Corporation & Orange City Water, have immediately started damage plugging work on war footing. The water supply in many areas will remain affected till repairing on pipeline.
This is for the third time MahaMetro has damaged Futala-500 feeder pipeline in recent past. A police complaint has been lodged in Ambazari Police Station.
Areas to remain affected due to breakdown are: Uppar Futala, Lower Futala, Sanjay Nagar, New Sudam Nagri, Trust lay out, Futala slum, Kachimet, Ridhi Siddhi, Himalaya Valley, Hindusthan Colony, Dhobhighat, Telangkhedi Hanuman Mandir, Pandhrabodietc
NMC-OCW has appealed people that supply through tankers in affected areas will also be not possible. The inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.
