Hislop College wins Vidarbha level debate competition

Hislop College wins Vidarbha level debate competition

Hislop College’s team, which included Mehandi Sheikh and Shital Khawase, won the Vidarbha-level intercollegiate debate competition ‘Vaikhari,’ which was organised by Nikalas Mahila Mahavidyalaya in collaboration with ‘Aadhar Sanstha’ and ‘Vanarai.’ The question was, ‘Is it worthwhile to leave India for personal growth?’

The first runner-up title went to GHRaisoni College of Law, whose members Devrat Deshpande and Yash Tiwari put the points with authority. Nikalas Mahila Mahavidyalaya, comprised of Khushi Behre and Shruti Shingare, finished second.

Advika Metre of Shri Ramdeobaba College of
Engineering and Management.(RCOEM)was adjudged as Best Speaker in the category of
speakers spoke against the topic.Priyanka Thakre of RTMNU’s Department of Mass communication was adjudged as Best Speaker in the debate while speaking for the subject.

Vinay Patil of Barrister Sheshrao Wankhede College of Education got consolation prize. The function was inaugurated in presence of chief guest Adv M L Somalwar, President, Somalwar Academy Education Society; RP Somalwar, Vice-President; P P Somalwar, Secretary and all Somalwar Academy Education Society’s management members, Aadhar Vice-President Hemant Kalikar and Secretary Shubhada Fadnavis were also present. Dr Seema Somalwar, Principal Nikalas Mahila Mahavidyalaya welcomed the guests.

Mayuresh Gokhale, Col. Chandrahas Desai and Dr
Rajashree Bapat were the judges. Asmita Duragkar, was co-ordinator ofVaikhari. Ravi Datta compered the programme wherein teams of 22 colleges participated. R P Somalwarsaid, ‘Vaikhari’ is doing very good job by making youngsters to express. Dr Avinash Rode, President, Aadhar was the chief Guest of valedictory function. R P Somlawar, Mahesh Somalwar, Member, SomalwarEducation
Society; Dr Seema Somalwar, Principal, Nikalas Mahila Mahavidyalaya; Nilesh Khandekar, Secretary, Vanrai; Shubhada Fadnavis also graced the occasion. Dr Sayli Pande compered.

Co-ordinator of the programme Dr Sayali Pande,
Asmita Duragkar and Dr Shraddha Patil took efforts to make the programme successful.
