In a ghastly road accident, a woman and her toddler lat their lives while her husband sustained serious injuries after a trailer truck collided with their bike on Nagpur- Bhandara Highway here, on Thursday.
The family was reportedly travelling to Dhamna village in Kuhi taluka with their little child. The accused trailer driver allegedly ran them over as they crossed through Mauda town, killing the woman and her kid.
Some onlookers then alerted cops. Acting swiftly on the inputs, squad of Mauda Police rushed to the spot and sent bodies for autopsy. Cops have registered an offence against the accused trailer truck driver. Further investigations are on.
