The income tax department conducted raids on a chartered accountant and three builders over alleged tax evasion in Nagpur on Thursday. Sources said documents related to unaccounted transactions worth crores have been seized along with lockers.
The raids were conducted by the officers of Nagpur, Nashik, Pune and Mumbai units at 14 locations, mostly offices and residences of the directors of construction companies.
The names of builders under the lens are Sadiq and Company Private Limited, Mount Road, Sadar, Triconnect Infra Private Limited, Ramdaspeth, Diwan Plaza and Kumar Con- struction, Ramdaspeth.
