At the Dabo restaurant on Wardha Road, several antisocial people staged a disturbance and attacked some female customers, their family members, and waiters. Despite the seriousness of the occurrence, police simply recorded a non-cognizable (NC) offense in the case. According to sources, the main preparatory’s brother is a police officer in the crime branch, which explains why Sonegaon police are being kind to him.
The restaurant is located opposite the police station in Sonegaon. It is managed by a member of the former Maharashtra Minister’s family. On Saturday night, two Sadar women went there for dinner along with their husbands and families.
Around 1:30 am, when the women were leaving the restaurant following dinner, a drunk criminal, Ajju Singh entered the restaurant. He had a waiter standing behind him.
Ajju, who had fallen on his own, was angry with the waiter and slammed a liquor bottle on his head. The bouncers rescued the women at the restaurant.
After witnessing women customers being beaten up by the miscreants, the hotel bouncers walked in. They removed Ajju, his cousin Ranveer Singh, and another individual from the premises. Three of them eventually returned.
They began to attack other customers as well. Meanwhile, Sonegaon police arrived and inquired about the incident. The manager and other restaurant staff told the police that no such incident occurred. Another victim, however, went to the Sonegaon police station and filed a complaint. However, the police only recorded an NC.
