Around 7.15 p.m. on Wednesday, anti-social individuals damaged more than 15 vehicles, including cars and two-wheelers, in two areas under the control of the Hudkeshwar police station. After causing a commotion for around thirty minutes, the antisocial individuals fled. Residents of Mahatma Gandhi Nagar and Gajanan Nagar are in a state of panic as a result of this incident.
Gajanan Nagar resident Dhaval Tijare had parked his car number in front of his house. There was also a moped next to the car. At the same time a group of five to seven anti-social elements came in front of Tijare’s house and broke the windshield of the car with stones and rods while also damaging the moped.
Nandu Dhoble is the neighbour of Tijare. Dhoble had parked his SUV outside. his house. The miscreants also broke the front glass of the SUV. When ladies of Dho- ble’s house came out of the house after hearing noises, they saw a group of people fleeing the spot.
The miscreants later went to the Mahatma Gandhi Nagar, where they also dam- aged several cars and two- wheelers. In total the miscreants damaged 10 cars and more than 5 two-wheelers.
The residents soon in- formed the police control room. Senior officials and Hudkeshwar police rushed to the spot. They checked CCTV footage from the spot in which a group of people were seen running. Even earlier such incidents had happened in the Hudkeshwar area. The residents are demanding that police take strict action in these matters.
