NTPC Mouda organized rural sports competition on 14 February 2023 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Stadium. The competition was inaugurated by Mr. Mangesh Kale, General Manager (Operation & Maintenance) by lighting the torch in the presence of Mr. A K Bari, Chief General Manager (Projects). On this occasion, sportsmanship pledge was also administered to all the participants. Students from Zilla Parishad Schools Gangner, Dhamangaon, Ajangaon, Khandala, Tarsa, Navegaon from nearby villages enthusiastically participated in sports like 100m, 200m, relay race and long jump. In this competition Zila Parishad School of Khandala village secured first position with its excellent performance for which they were awarded with the “Overall Champion” trophy. The event was organized under the CSR/CD Policy of NTPC with the objective of inculcating sportsmanship, team spirit and interest in sports among the students. Along with academic excellence, it is also necessary for children to have an interest in sports so that their overall development takes place and they can maintain their physical and mental health.
