The anti-encroachment department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation removed encroachments on main roads in Laxmi Nagar Zone.
Handcarts and shops set on footpaths on both sides of the road were also removed. Forty two encroachments were removed and one truck load of items were seized. Illegal hoardings were removed during this drive.
Seven makeshift huts were removed in Dharampeth Zone. Seven handcarts were also seized. The anti-encroachment drive was also taken up in Hanuman Nagar, Dhantoli and Gandhibagh zones also. NMC said that the drive will continue.
