Three passengers in a car died when their car banged into a truck from behind near Mahabal village in Selu taluka of Wardha district. Two of the deceased were doctors. The accident occurred around 12.30 in night separating Saturday and Sunday.
The car was coming to Nagpur from Malegaon. Dr Jyoti Kshirsagar, Dr Falguni Surwade and Bharat Kshirsagar died on the spot. Jam Highway Police team led by police officer Dilip Thate rushed to the spot. The bodies have been sent for post mortem.
The Samruddhi Mahamarg has become a hotspot for accidents. The Saumruddhi Mahamarg inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 11, 2022, has recorded over 900 accidents so far.
