After almost three decades, India is set to host the Miss World 2023 competition, marking the return of the renowned international beauty pageant to the country. The 71st edition of Miss World is scheduled to take place in November, although the exact dates are yet to be confirmed.
India last hosted the prestigious pageant in 1996. Julia Morley, the chairperson and CEO of the Miss World organization, expressed her delight at announcing India as the new home for the 71st Miss World Final. She eagerly anticipates showcasing India’s unique and diverse culture, world-class attractions, and breathtaking locations to the rest of the world during the event.
The month-long competition will feature contestants from more than 130 countries participating in rigorous competitions, including talent showcases, sports challenges, and charitable initiatives. These activities aim to highlight the qualities that make the contestants ambassadors of change.
Karolina Bielawska of Poland, the reigning Miss World, is currently in India to promote the beauty competition. She expressed excitement about passing on her crown in this “beautiful country” with the same values as Miss World.
