After the Sessions Court rejected Sunil Kedar’s bail application, he has now approached the High Court. It is expected to be heard on Wednesday.
Former minister Kedar has been sentenced to five years imprisonment by the Court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate in the NDCC Bank scam of Rs 153 crore.
He had initially approached the Sessions Court seeking bail as well as quashing the sentence. However, the scope of this scam is huge. Reports of Reserve Bank, NABARD have been filed in these cases. The Additional District and Sessions Court had rejected his bail application as well as the application for suspension of sentence, stating that farmers and investors have suffered huge losses due to this scam and if he get bail, it will send a wrong message in the society.
