“The central objective of Khasdaar Audyogik Mahotsav ‘Advantage Vidarbha’ was to promote the decentralization of development,” said Nitin Gadkari at the Valedictory Function of the ‘Khasdaar Audyogik Mahotsav – Advantage Vidarbha’ held in Nagpur on 29th January 2024.
The event marked the end of 3-day long festival dedicated to celebrating the industries and industrial growth in Vidarbha. Some success has been achieved in this regard, and in the coming years, each district will strive to establish independent clusters for local industries.
Consequently, the bullet train of development will speed through every district. This confidence was expressed by the Union Minister.
The three-day Khasdaar Audyogik Mahotsav – Advantage Vidarbha, organized by the Association for Industrial Development (AID) at the initiative of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, the largest industrial expo, business, and investment conclave in Vidarbha, concluded on Monday.
The event, held at the grand premises of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, was attended by Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Tourism Minister Girish Mahajan.
The other objective of the festival was to boost industrial growth, generate employment on a large scale, and contribute to the overall development of the region. Shri Gadkari expressed gratitude to all the national and international entrepreneurs, ministers, heads of various organizations, and stakeholders who actively participated in the festival. Advantage Vidarbha has strengthened the region, turning weaknesses into strengths. Gadkari expressed belief that working on weaknesses and transforming them into strengths will bring about a significant change in the region’s capabilities. He stated that this event would be organized on a larger scale in times to come.
President of Association for Industrial Development (AID) Ashish Kale, Vice President Pranav Sharma and Giridhari Mantri, Secretary Dr. Vijay Sharma, Treasurer Rajesh Bagdi, and members Rajesh Rokde, Nikhil Gadkari, Dr. Mahendra Kshirsagar, Pradeep Maheshwari, Prashant Ugemuge, and Raviendra Boratkar played a cooperative role in the success of Advantage Vidarbha.
While giving vote of thanks, Ashish Kale provided information on the successful completion of the event with over 250 stalls, and the participation of industries of all sizes during the three-day festival. The ecosystem for industries in Vidarbha was emphasized, and several collaborations were announced. Shri Kale concluded by acknowledging the vision and efforts of everyone involved, considering it a success. The program was anchored by Renuka Deshkar, and Rajesh Rokde expressed his gratitude.
Memorandum of Understanding between Ramcharan Group and SIAN: During the three days of the Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav, many agreements were signed. Another MoU was added in the closing session. An MoU was signed between Ramcharan Group of Chennai and Sian Nagpur regarding ‘Technology Transfer for CO2’. Kaushik Palicha of Ramcharan Group and Nikhil Gadkari and Sarang Gadkari of Sian Agro signed the agreement.
Grand release of coffee table book ‘Visionaries of Vidarbha’ : Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other dignitaries released the coffee table book ‘Visionaries of Vidarbha’, which showcased the industries in the soil of Vidarbha and created a large number of jobs and took name of Vidarbha to great heights. ‘Visionaries of Vidarbha’ features the success stories of 35 leading entrepreneurs, professionals and 5 startups from Vidarbha. It also includes startups like Gramheet, Tsecond along with industry giants like Vicco, Solar Industries, Haldiram, Baidyanath, Infocept from Nagpur. Besides Nagpur, Padgilwar Industries & Ruhatia Group from Akola; Chaitanya Group from Malkapur; Vikamshi Fabric from Khamgaon, Plasti-Surg Industry from Amravati; Multi organics from Chandrapur; Gramheet of Yavatmal were featured in coffee table book . All these entrepreneurs were felicitated by Nitin Gadkari informed, Dr. Vijay Sharma.
‘Advantage Vidarbha’ will prove as a platform for job creation – Devendra Fadnavis
Discussions, Seminars, Product showcasing, display and demo made Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav a special platform for Job creation. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that this festival is organized to boost industrialization in Vidarbha and attract large-scale investment. He expressed the hope that this will prove as milestone in Vidarbha’s growth. This Mahotsav has brought to light the Vidarbha’s industrial side and made outsiders notice the potential of this region. This festival has given a vision to the students as well, he added. He expressed the belief that due to this successful convention in the first year itself, ‘Advantage Vidarbha’ will become a big platform for employment generation in the future.
Vidarbha’s strength showcased – Girish Mahajan
Tourism Minister Girish Mahajan said that the strength of industries in Nagpur, Vidarbha has been showcased and realized at Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav – Advantage Vidarbha. Compared to other states, Maharashtra is backward in terms of tourism and if a comprehensive tourism policy is planned, foreign tourists will come in large numbers. He expressed the belief that the increase in tourism will create a large amount of employment and strengthen the tourism industry.
