Upset with not getting the expected results in the Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis had offered his resignation from the post of Deputy Chief Minister. He said that he accepts full responsibility for this defeat.
On Thursday, Fadnavis reached Nagpur where BJP workers welcomed him at the airport. They also raised slogans in support of Fadnavis and urged him not to resign from cabinet.
Fadnavis refused to speak media on Airport. While BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule said that there is no need for Fadnavis to resign as he can strengthen the party organisation by remaining in the cabinet.
Bawankule also said that, “We asked for votes for ‘Viksit Bharat’. INDIA alliance and Maha Vikas Aghadi did caste-based politics. In some days, people will know that INDIA alliance leaders asked for votes by lying. The public can get misled once but not again and again. Politics of development can take India and Maharashtra ahead.”he said.
