The Central Railway’s Nagpur Division has ramped up its efforts against illegal vendors, apprehending 23 offenders over the past two days. In addition, authorities seized 10 boxes of unapproved bottled water and 7 heavy equipment items from Ambuj Caterers’ cluster kitchen, which were being transported without proper booking.
At Nagpur Railway Station alone, 12 illegal vendors were apprehended. Teams also caught 5 vendors operating on the Nagpur-Wardha and Nagpur-Itarsi rail sections, and 2 were arrested at Balharshah Station.
The crackdown extended to the Nagpur-Sewagram-Balharshah rail section, where officials confiscated 10 boxes of unapproved packaged drinking water bottles. Further inspections on Train No. 12724, the New Delhi-Hyderabad Telangana Express, led to the seizure of 7 heavy equipment items from Ambuj Caterers, which were being transported without proper documentation.
These actions are part of the Central Railway’s ongoing measures to ensure compliance with regulations and enhance passenger safety and service quality across its network.
