For the third time in three days, an owl was found and rescued from the premises of VMV College, Vardhaman Nagar, Nagpur, after it was spotted in a distressed state.
On Monday, December 9, 2024, college staff members Aarti Sainis and Manoj Malkapure noticed an owl in the campus that appeared unable to fly. They promptly informed Abhishek Sawane, a member of the Wildlife Welfare Society, about the situation.
Responding swiftly, a team comprising Nitish Bhandakkar, Abhishek Sawane, Keshav Wankhede, and Pankaj Kuthe arrived at the scene. Upon examination, they found the owl perched in the same spot, looking weak and in need of help.
The team safely rescued the bird and transported it to the Transit Treatment Center at Seminary Hill for medical attention and rehabilitation.
